LDR : Difficult but Possible

I was sad when He told me tat he was goin to study in Singapore , one day 4 years ago . My mind was blur and i coundn't decide whether i should continue our relationship or not . Finally , we decided to keep the relationship going . This is how my Long Distance Relationship ( LDR ) begun 4 years ago ... it is definitely difficult but it is possible !

LDR is stressful and emotionaly exhausting ,still ,I am pround to tell all my friends that : I have a wonderful and great LDR now ; i am truly enjoying myself in it !

My dear friends ,
No one chooses to be in a LDR , often time they choose us . If there is one day , you fall in love with your distanced - Bf or Gf , don't hesitate to give it a try first . Give both of you a chance to know each other deeper . It is a pity if you choose to let him/her go , simply because of the word - D.I.S.T.A.N.C.E

Distance is not the end of the world in a relationship . It is hard but if you put in more efforts : Trust , Communication , Honesty & Independence than the traditional dating relationship , nothing is immposible !

No relationship will work well without trust and faith . This is the most important part , especially in the relationship between you and your lover who is thousands miles away from you . Trust in each other 's feeling . I always believe that He do feel the same way as me .When I am thinking of him , he is thinking of me too .. Although sometimes I will feel like I am loosing faith in our relationship when we have phone arguments , but we always get through it ^_^

Communication is a key in any relationship , but in LDR , regular communication is very crucial . Communication here is not just about phone call or smsing . It's about how you communicate yourself to your partner . He will call me 1-2 times a day . I make it a habit to always ask him how things are going - His work , friends and family . Open heart and share every single thing that happen will keep our love alive and healthy . So that both of us will feel the same security that we both crave .

Honesty is VITAL in every relationship . In LDR , however, honesty has to be taken a step further . No one can survive in a relationship that is full of lies , insecurities and doubts . I always tell myself that he willl be honest with me just as how I am honest with him . And always keep in mind that he is in same situation as you .

It is a mistake to sit at home by the phone every night , waiting for your lover to call . Keep yourself busy , enjoy your life with friends .So , learning to be independent is important in LDR . You can't ask him to accompany you to do shopping , having breakfast , movie ....and many more . You have to complete all these stuffs by yourself , alone ;( I felt alone at the beginning but later I realized that I have to get used to it , as I have made my option already . It's hard , but it's a must . If you can't change the fact , then you have to change yourself .

Live your life without your lover beside you is not really a big matter . Live your life for yourself , but not totally for him/her . There are mad people ( siao lang ) who live their lives only for their lovers , they are not willing to 'waste' their time on friends . These people are fooled and blinded by L.O.V.E . I symphatize with them : they do not realise how cute and colourful is the world around them . Lover plays a big part in life ; but he/she is not everything .

We are connected in mind and heart . We will not let distance ruin our relationship .

Distance has so much potential to ruin a relationship ,but our relationship only gets better with every passing day . It makes us appreciate each other more ; it only strengthen our love .... you will feel the bitterness at the early stage but trust me , sweetness of love is not far away from you .............. :-) *end*
